Welcome to Elstead's Village Theatre
PETS (Players of Elstead Theatrical Society) is Elstead's very own village theatre, where we celebrate the joy of storytelling, community spirit, and the magic of live performance.
Whether you’re joining us for an evening of entertainment, looking to get involved on or off the stage, or simply curious about what we do, you’re in the right place.
We are a small, friendly, amateur theatre group serving Elstead and its surrounding villages. From classic plays to contemporary comedies, family shows to special events, our productions bring together local talent of all ages and backgrounds. No experience is needed - just enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of something creative.

Our
Story
Five Decades of Village Theatre
PETS was founded in 1982 by three Elstead residents and began life in the U.R.C. Hall on Milford Road, where members built a proscenium arch and staged lively spring and autumn productions ranging from revues to early plays like Make It Murder. Despite limited space, the group thrived and soon moved to the larger Village Hall on Thursley Road.
In the decades since, PETS has presented an extensive mix of comedies, classics, thrillers, farces, original pieces and community shows, including Blithe Spirit, The Constant Wife, and 'Allo 'Allo!, as well as recent titles like Holiday Cottage and The Small Hours, reflecting PETS’ ongoing commitment to entertaining and engaging the community across generations.
